Eight Articles To Read About Sexual Assault + #MeToo

Sexual assault stories to read bettysbattleground.com

This month, Betty’s Battleground is talking about sexual assault and its aftermath. This is something that has been planned for months, but as it happens, the nation is (finally) joining this conversation as well. Today, I’m sharing with you some of the stories I’ve read recently that I think you should read too.

On another note, if you’ve been seeking a place to share your story of surviving sexual assault, or loving someone who has, Betty’s Battleground has some openings this month. Check out my guest post info page and shoot me an email.

The 13 Best Blogs + Articles To Read This Week 8/14

Need something to read? Check out bettysbattleground.com for recommendations

Guess what I noticed? My book recommendations (when they don’t include author interviews) get almost no views, while my blog article recommendations last week were read, clicked through, shared, and commented on! So as much as I love and value literature, I’m going to switch it up and start doing article recommendations, except on those occasions when I have an author interview to go along with the book review. That being said, if you are an author with a book in hardcopy and you’d like to see it reviewed on Betty’s Battleground, contact me. Please note that I’m not able to review writing that is heavily couched in an Abrahamic faith.

Now, let’s get to the recommendations. What are the best articles I’ve read the past two weeks? These cover everything from shampooing away nuclear fallout, to do-able parenting hacks, and come from big news sites and lesser known bloggers alike. Take a look at the best articles this writer has read, and don’t forget to leave your recommendations in the comments.

Oh, last thing! The re-launch of Off-Fridays: THE Mental Illness Blog Share was a success. See what bloggers are saying about depression and suicide here.

Blog Posts Of The Weeks: 10 Articles You Should Read Today

Need something interesting to read? Try one of these blog posts, recommended on bettysbattleground.comHello! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. It’s been a busy weekend. I’ve been writing, and editing, and applying for a (small) grant, plus playing with kiddos cuz it’s da weekend. I didn’t have time to put together a whole new Book Of The Weeks post. Plus, I’m gonna bet that you have still not read all 12 of the awesome science fiction books that cover mental health topics I recommended last time. Am I right? And, honestly, I haven’t finished the book I’m reading, which I love and want to recommend to you. You’ll just have to wait.

Today, instead of a book, I’m going to recommend some of the most interesting blog posts and articles that I’ve read these past couple weeks. These posts are all well written, engaging, full of useful information, and further the conversations on mental health, women’s issues, and parenting…ya know, the stuff I cover on here regularly. On Wednesday I’ll have a brand shiny new post by yours truly, and on FRIDAY, when it will be August again, I’ll be restarting Off-Fridays, the mental illness blog share that converts into a permanent link library! I hope you’ll join and drop a link or two from your blogs! Today, take a moment to read these posts by other writers fighting mental illness stigma one brilliant word at a time.
